Hello French teachers!
Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean has just released a new video for
Haïti called "Hold On", encouraging fans to donate to relief
efforts. I thought French classes might find it interesting
that the song starts off with Wyclef saying in French,
"L’union fait la force". It might be a good hook to
introduce related phrases from the article, such as "en
faveur des victimes du séisme", "faire des dons pour Haïti"
and "la catastrophe". Link below.
Personally I find the song so emotive that I can hardly get
through the video without crying a bit.
