In my school I have French 1-4, but no AP. Enrollment is steadily going down and I contribute that to not having AP. I do not have a feeder program coming in from the middle/junior high schools. I am thinking about turning 3rd Year French into a pre-AP class and having my 4th Year become the true AP when students take the test. I will flip-flop curriculum year to year.

Please share any comments or suggestions regarding this plan and the textbook “Allons au-delà” and its ancillary materials.

The vast majority of AP World language students are in their 4th year of language instruction. A combined 4th year class of AP students and 4th year non-AP students is ok. A mix of year-3 students with the 4th students will be very frustrating.
