Hi everyone,
As the new year has begun, I am starting to think of possible
summer adventures. I have travelled to the Galapagos with:
http://www.holbrooktravel.com
and I traveled to Peru, Macchu Picchu, and Belize with a group
called Environmental Expeditions: http://www.travel2learn.com/
Both trips were phenomenal. Well organized, good accomodations
(even when they were "environmental"), great food, and the
diverse group of teachers I met were amazing. On my trip to
Belize, I was even reacquainted with people I had traveled with
in the Rainforest. Frances Gatz runs Environmental Expeditions
and the group leaders are amazing scientists.
I would love to find a great place to travel this summer. The
best thing about these companies are that everything is taken
care of, you learn so much for your classroom, and you can
consider it as a tax deductions (you can get credits)
Holbrook has a trip to Fiji that I am considering. I would
love to learn of any other ideas out there.
