Thursday:
Welcome to Austin, Texas.
During the day people meet and greet arrivals as they come in.
Swim in the pool, unpack, and relax.
Get name tags, brochures, and sign up for bat boat ride.
Give other tnet gatherers your room number.
5:30 Everyone meet at hotel to go to dinner. Threadgills.

Friday:
Everyone meet for breakfast as a group. Free breakfast
provided by the hotel. 8:30. (Breakfast served from 6:30-9:30).
Listed are some activities that you can do. Lunch is on our
own. Anyone is more than welcome to do what chasd, myself,
or Pecos does. We don't want you to feel OBLIGATED to do
everything with us.
Swim in hotel pool.
Old Bakery And Emporium 1006 Congress. Open until 4:00 M -
F. The Old Bakery is a registered trademark built in 1876.
It now sells arts & crafts.
Austin Museum of Art. Admission $5.00
Barton Springs in Zilker Park. $3.00. This is a spring fed
(around 68 degrees year round) swimming pool. Very lovely
area. Picnic tables and campgrounds (if I remember correctly).
Life from the Plaza. Free music during lunch time on the
downtown plaza. Take a nap cause the Austin night life is
fun fun fun! 5:30 Everyone meet to go to dinner. TexMex
night at Serranos. 111 Red River St, Symphony Square
Austin Bats-we can take a boat ride $8.00. Leaves 30 minutes
before sunset and is an hour cruise . If boats or bats
aren't your thing you can always enjoy a drink at TGIF's at
the Radison while some of us go boating. You can see the
bats at a distance from there.
Tnetters hit 6th street. Night life!

Everyone meet for breakfast as a group. Free breakfast
provided by the hotel. 8:30. (Breakfast served from 7:00-10:00)
Listed are some activities that you can do. Lunch is on our
own. Anyone is more than welcome to do what chasd, myself,
or Pecos does. We don’t want you to feel OBLIGATED to do
everything with us. Historical Walk tours of Austin. We can
get walk tour pamphlets from the Tourist center.
Tour LBJ Library at University of Texas. See yesterday's
suggestions or tomorrow's suggestions. 5:30 Everyone meet to

This is Texas barbeque at its best. Family Style - Per
Person . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . $15.95
heaping helpings of beef, sausage, and pork ribs, served
with potato salad, cole slaw, beans, bread, pickles, and
onions. The Salt Lick has a lot more items on their menu at
lower prices. This is the meal for which they are known.

Time to say goodbye :-( Check out time is 12:00 noon.
If you aren't headed back home right away here are some
other favorite spots of mine that I highly recommend.
San Marcos-tube down the river. Its fun!
San Marcos Outlet Mall. Great buys...LOTS and LOTS of
stores. Gruene, Texas. A little town with a fabulous
restaurant The Grist Mill, antique shops, and wine tasting.
**This could be a Saturday or Friday afternoon outing if
anyone is interested. This is about 30 miles south of Austin.
San Antonio, Texas. Its about an hour south of Austin. Home
of the Alamo and the Riverwalk
You could lunch at one of the following:

Alamo Draft House Cinema
Santa Rita Tex Mex Cantina
Taco Xpress
Ironworks Barbeque
Malaga Tapas & Bar

Here are some addys to where we are dining so you can check
them out! If no one objects, I am going to go ahead and
make reservations. If for some reason, you plan on not
going to dinner with us one of these nights, could you drop
me an email. ***Also I am thinking we ought to go ahead and
book the BAT CRUISE for Friday night. I will call on
Wednesday and Make reservations for these things. I AM
counting you UNLESS I hear from you. If I could hear BEFORE
Wednesday afternoon from you, I would appreciate it.
