Re: somebody up there likes me...long, sorry

I am
I am so glad nobody was seriously hurt. Sorry about the car
though.
(((cjode))), the CT news is such good news. Hang in there.
I understand abt. chemo, which can be a real bear.
On the way home after my first chemo (FAC with a booster) at MD
Anderson, I had a serious stomach problem at a Popeye's in
Baton Rouge. This was followed by nausea stops all the way home.
For 2 or more days at home, I kept no food I ate, as my temp
went up.
Long story short, I spent 6 days covered with IV antibiotics in
a local hospital in reverse isolation. (Among a laundry list of
ailments I had E Coli}. The last 2 days the docs said they were
going to have to bring out the BIG GUHS of antibiotics. The
Vancomycin took my hearing in my right ear.
For the first and only time, I gave up and told Mr. VET I was
not going back to Texas; I would just let nature take its
course. When he cried, I came back to my senses and bounced back.
I had lost 30 pounds and had to wait an extra week for the next
monthly chemo treatment, but I went back and never looked back.
(((cjode))), all this chemo stuff WILL pass.
Thank you for the updates.
