Knee update

I am 4 weeks and 2 days out from a total knee replacement. I am doing very well. I walk with a cane when I go long distances or walk on uneven ground. I am in PT twice a week, but hope to be done in a few weeks. They have me scheduled through the end of November. I don't have time for that. I have a friend who needs me to sub due to a family situation. She wants me to start mow. There is just no way I can physically do it. The earliest I can sub is the 24th. When I saw th Physician's Assistant 13 days after surgery he said I was where most people would be at after 6 weeks, so yes, I am doing well. Kathy

Betty Ann So good to hear that it's going well.

Regarding the physical therapy--when you start subbing, could you switch the PT to once a week rather than cutting it out altogether? I recently had some PT and I am finding that I don't do very well at keeping it up totally on my own.

Kathy So far I have been able to schedule PT around the days I already have set up to sub. I need to ask the two,PTs I am working with what their latest appointments are in case I need to change times. One comes in at 8:00, so I might be able to see her after school.
