Have the kids write their own "advice" for your mom and/or
what they like about your mom. If you're not a teacher in
the school, you may need to recruit the help of her
colleagues.
I did this once with second graders. They wrote things
like, "Mrs. D. has a great sense of humor. She really is
full of it." and "I like how Mrs. D. teaches us to write
with our fingers on the pencil in weird places."
The whole room was cracking up when we presented this.
