How are you blogging? With edublogs? Gaggle? Blogger? If you
using an educational product, many times they are already
filtered.

Grade level also needs to be taken into consideration. Are
you high school, middle, or elementary?

We don't have a specific policy for blogging - we just use
our AUP and leave it up to teacher's discretion.
