Good Afternoon, sorry to hear about your problems. Lots of
junk on the Hard Drive can defiantly slow system speeds down.
The main problem is probably just the system is old and
outdated, 6 years for a desktop is like 50 years for a car. A
few tips to maybe help though:
1) When you remove files, whenever possible use the uninstall
function or add/remove programs from the control panel. If
you do not use this function and you simply delete them it
will leave registry files on your PC and can cause conflicts
down the road.
2) Try running your disk clean-up and then defrag the HD.
This will group files and enhance performance speed.
3) Give it a good UP-TO-DATE virus and spyware scan.
As I said the main problem is probably age but these few
tricks will help weed out some of the malfunctions. If you
need more help please contact me at
heathcarter@kenmartinschoolsupply.com and I will help you in
any way I can. If you need mroe advice I will need to know
your system specs ( Operating System, RAM, CPU, etc.) Hope
this helps a little
