Post: teaming but how to maintain individuality
Posted by Frustrated on 5/08/08
I have a new team mate this year. It is her first year in
Kindergarten, but she has taught before. I don't mind
teaming and preparing units together, but she wants
absolutely everything I have. Sharing is one thing, but I
like to show my personality in my classroom and think that
having some of my own ideas on display is a good thing. I
don't think the classrooms should look exactly alike. She
seems helpless -- always asking-- never offering. I spend
countless hours doing internet searches etc.. to help my
teaching and to get ideas. She could be doing the same but
doesn't. How do you all handle this?
