    Re: *Sigh* to Bonnie teachersbargainbasement
    Posted by Lisa on 5/10/08

Yikes, class size of 30??? You picked a good year to retire. I am
a member of Teachers Bargain Basement and it's quite easy to list,
sell, and buy things there. It's a yahoo group. To join, try this
    link:
    http://groups.yahoo.com/search?query=teachersbargainbasement
If that doesn't work, just type in teachersbargainbasement on the
yahoo groups page and it will walk you through joining. To list
things, you just type in what you're selling, add a little detail,
and add a price which includes shipping (most teacher books can be
shipped for less through Media Mail (usually between $2 and $4
depending on the size of the book) although it takes longer to
mail. I usually offer a choice between Media Mail and priority
mail but have to charge a little more for priority mail.
Sometimes, things sell quickly, and other times it takes a while.
Teachers tend to buy more books before the start of the school
year. It's worth it in the long run since you don't have to factor
in seller fees. The only problem I have had is when a teacher wants
to buy something, sends and address to ship the book to and then
never sends money. I don't send the package until after the money
is sent and have had to resell a few things when the teacher
doesn't follow-through. But, most of the time there isn't a
    problem.

    Good luck and happy retirement!
    Lisa
