I have a little guy who has been in my class about a month now.
He arrived from India, speaking mainly Hindi (very little
English). The other kids know that I'm having a tough time
communicating with him and him with me, and they are amazing at
tring to encourage him to learn some English words. Every time
they hear him say another new word in English they cheer him on
and tell me what his new word is. Of course, one of his first
English words he learned was "no!" :)
