I take offense to this, by the second poster.

"At his age, you can best help him by not pressuring him all the
time. He clearly doesn't want to be there, so the biggest
challenge he'll have to overcome now is disliking school."

From reading the post, you have no idea that the child doesnt
want to be there. It is implying that the teacher isn't making
it FUN enough for him!! Not all children with poor printing do
it due to disliking school! How dare you make that accusation.

This is why I stopped posting for a long time. Such negativity
when limited info is given. It is a message board, not a problem
    solving meeting!

We ALL come here to get help. This teacher is looking for help.
If she did not care, she would not be doing anything. Just
because it is not written of something she has NOT done, doesn't
mean she hasn't. She is not writing a biography.

You dont know if she is pressuring, nor do you know what she is
required to do by her boss.

She was merely asking for suggestions on how to help a child with
    poor printing and is distracted.

We are here to help each other UP not knock each other down. I
bet she feels worse off after reading this. I know I would have.

I like Grandma's suggestions about getting volunteers, if that
is allowed. In my school, all volunteers must go through criminal
background checks on their own dime ( 50 bucks) before allowed
in the classroom. Hence, very few parents volunteer. It is a
    changing world!
