Hi,I would appreciate hearing from those who have taught either of these manuscript styles. Our school is considering a change to D'Nelian, but I have concerns.Thank you for your advice!

treetoad our special education teacher requested we use zaner-Bloser because it was easier for her students so we switched back.

Barbara D'Nealian was the adopted handwriting program in our district when I started 20 years ago until just last year. It is a disaster for kindergarteners. Not only do they mix up k and R, i and j, l and J, but their little hands have trouble forming the "monkey tails" at the bottom of most letters. jacque/WA/K-1/nbct 2006 I do not understand why your school would even consider this since there was a recent study debunking any value to Denealian...here in WA, no one teaches it anymore.

SeussFan Years ago, the district I student taught in adopted D'Nelian, and they only kept it for 2 years before switching back. There was a lot of instructional time wasted on trying to get little children to print with the curves, and the parents HATED it.
