I agree with Kathy, I wouldn't arrange by AR level either. Keep the books in their classification order. Common ones at the elementary level are Easy, Fiction (I dislike the term chapter books), Biography and Non-fiction. If you can't find the Dewey number inside the book, try the Library of Congress site www.loc.gov. However, sometimes they only give the LC Classification. Wikipedia has a very basic one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Dewey_Decimal_classes This is another good site I go to for cataloging information http://olc1.ohiolink.edu/search
