Posted by Cybrary Man on 3/22/08 First, you should be honored that your principal asked you to take over the library. I also taught for 20 years and was asked by my principal to take over the library. However, I did not have an additional teaching load aside from teaching library lessons and managing the library. Kevin gave you a very accurate answer. Managing a library requires a lot of time and effort even if the library is in great shape. I would hesitate to take the position if it was not a full time one.
