What I taught today:
1. Podcasting to two classes of 6th grade students. They will
be doing book reviews, but the final product being produced
will be a podcast.
2. Taught two classes how to use Marshall Cavendish digital
encyclopedias.
3. Taught a group of students how to create a Google custom
search.
The teacher-librarian (and in my state we are required to have
both a teaching credential and a library media services
credential) teaches information literacy. We are often early
adopters of technology. Take a look at what is offered at our
conferences. You will be amazed.
As for why your LMS does not teach anything, it could be
because in your state that person is not a teacher. Or it
could be a lot of things. Hard to know.
