Stay away from Media! The general consensus is that you
don't do anything therefore you will be assigned a lot of
busy work. Which usually means classes. I graduated about 5
years ago with an MLS and most of the people that graduated
with me hate it. Some of them left the profession and
pursued completely different careers within 3 years of the
job. Most Media Specialist I talk to are asked to see
classes PreK - 5 all day long AND run the Media Center. I
was never a teacher so I can't compare. But, I can say that
I knew teaching was too much which is why I though Media
would be okay. I was wrong. Run for the hills!
