I want to start by saying that there is no other job on earth that
I'd rather do. I love my job of 21 years. Yes, there are a lot of
duties and responsibilities BUT there are MANY rewards. I teach in
a unique school which is made up of grades Pre K through 8.
The rewards come in so many ways. When the struggling 1st grader
comes to read to me for the first time or a child discovers books
are actually fun or the high school senior comes back and thanks me
for reading to them years before, it will give you a feeling like
nothing else does. If you want to do this, I say go for it. Follow
your heart not people who are negative about the job.
Now to answer your origional question.
1. When the computers go down. ( I am also the computer tech.)
2. When AR is down. (my kids actually cry when that happens.)
3. SACS and GAPPS reviews. (accrediation)
4. Oh yeah , the day before any vacation. EVERYONE wants in the
media center ALL day.
Other than the things above I LOVE it.
