I retired with 27 yrs. (24 as Library Media Specialist) at the
elementary level in Kentucky. My position had the same pay(with
one exception)/retirement/duties and responsiblities as a
classroom teacher. At my last position I had to work 18 extra
school days a year (9 before and 9 after the school year
ended). My salary was based on a longer school year.
