What age group? I liked the story myself, but I wouldn't
teach it.
I didn't like the ending (it seemed too contrived.) I
wouldn't consider it lasting literature, but a popular read.
That would be my main reason not to choose it for the
classroom. I like to teach literature that they might not
read on their own.
