I have used the site Oyate.org with great success to find
authentic Native American literature. The site is currently
under re-construction, but still has some resources up and
running. See if you can get the book A Broken Flute from the
library, it's an excellent resource. It's important to
remember that many of the books written about Native
Americans contain many inaccuracies (excuse the spelling
please).
