I've taught sheltered ELL classes which I assume is probably
the same as what you describe as an ELL inclusive class. I
enjoy working with ELLs and most of my students were very
motivated to learn. What grade level do you teach? Will you
be responsible for ELD/ESL instruction for these students?
Do you know whether you will have beginning ELL students or
only students who have some English skills? That will make a
difference in the strategies you use. With ELLs you will
need to teach more vocabulary, use visual aids and simplify
the language (but as much as possible, NOT the content) of
the material. Most of the strategies that you'll need for
your ELL students are good strategies for all students. If
you have ELL students and non-ELL students you might want to
pair the ELL students with a non-ELL student (or more fluent
    ELL student).
