Post: Should I have a student teacher????

Posted by MBK on 5/02/08

Just wondering, if anyone could fill me in on how much
    master teachers usually get paid.

Also, do you think a 5th year teacher, such as myself, who
has taught the same grade the whole time, would be ready to
    mentor a new teacher?

Any pros/cons of having a student teacher that might help me
decide. Is it best to have one beginning, middle, or end of
    school year?

I am in the Orange County area. Our student teachers are
    from CSULB, National, and Concordia.

    Thank you!
