Re: IMPMath
Posted by Elaine on 5/03/08

We have two programs at my school: IMP and sequential math.
I teach precalculus level in both programs and absolutely
LOVE IMP. The kids themselves by IMP 4 have such good
learning attitudes/ They trust the process, deal well with
momentary disequilibrium and throw themselves into problem
solving with a passion. My Precalc students can't handle it
when they are confused for a moment, turn to stone when when
confronted with a difficult problem and get angry if asked
to do anything that isn't exactly like they've seen before.

And in IB Calculus our IMP student are far more adept at
problem solving and way less teacher dependent.
