Posted by sacteach on 5/15/08 I teach 8th grade Geometry and we are winding down the year. This is the first year I've taught Geo, it's the highest math course at the school. In talking with the Algebra 2/Trig teacher at the high school, she asked that I do an intro to the unit circle. I have two class periods (70 min and 85 min) to do this. I've never taught it before and don't even know where to begin. I don't want to stress them out as it's just for exposure at this point (not graded), but I don't want to confuse them either. It's the last two days of class, so I also don't want to bog them down with a lot of work. I got a workbook from the high school teacher and found a couple of pages I can use. Any good websites? I obviously need to freshen up my understanding first :) I haven't taught anything past algebra in 11 years of teaching.
