It's difficult to prosecute for a crime that just involves money
(small amounts, less than $1,000,000) and is overseas with no
physical presence in the United States. Is it worth spending a lot
of time to recoup the $3200?

They only got busted 'cause the woman was in the US. Aiding and
abetting this kind of crime when you're a US citizen living in the
US is not bright.

If it was just one $100, they wouldn't care. If it was lots of
them, they'd care if you were easy to catch.
