Hi, all.

I am brainstorming ideas about how to have students apply
the math we learn in the classroom to the real world. I've
been thinking that possibly one way to do this would be to
create a year-long project comprised of related, mini-
projects that the students complete throughout the year.
I'm thinking that the overall project could be creating a
virtual business. It sounds flexible enough so that I could
connect a lot of math to to it, and it sounds flexible in
that students could choose a product or service for
their "virtual" business that they are really, personally
into.

I don't want to reinvent the wheel, especially if I can use
proven, tested lesson plans.

Is anyone here on the board familiar with lesson plans,
websites, or software that I might look into regarding this
idea?
