    It would be a good thing ... a great thing in some ways (a 4th grader and
    12th grader in the same class could cause some problems) ... until the
    biggest variable in education gets involved. Yes, I'm talking about that
    P-word ... parents. I know that we're the professionals, but parents
    will decide that their student is one of the advanced ones and force the
    schools to move the kid up. And when one does it, all will do it. For
    some reason, the public schools refuse to "anger" parents and use the
    education that we paid so much for, deciding where a student is properly
    placed.
