    That would be great! Not only does it extend the idea that
    division is a form of grouping but it gets them ready to look
    at high school division as the inverse operation for
    distributing over 'place valued' terms.

    My only concern is that a 5th grader won't completely 'get'
    that 546=500+40+6. But that's your area of expertise...Good luck!
