While it was shared in confidence, what is the parent
expecting you to do with the information. I would make a
phone call and ask what she was expecting from you because it
was shared in confidence and to do anything would be to break
the confidence but to allow the procedure to continue would
be a violation of the students rights. Maybe she wants you
to step in but is in fear of retaiation for her child or her
family for stirring up trouble.
