Re: North American Montessori center

I took the course back in 2005 because I was already an
assistant at a Montessori school. I taught for 2 yrs with
that school and I did well, but now that i'm looking for a job
in another school, ive had a lot of difficulties finding a
school that will accept my diploma EVEN if i have 5 yrs
experience in a classroom and 2 yrs lead teacher experience
from one of the biggest Montessori schools in Canada. Its
been very frustrating. I'd say stick with a program that is
MACTE unless you don't mind working in schools that say they
are Montessori but really all they are is a daycare with the
"Montessori" name to charge more.
Thats been my experience. Hope this helps.
Oh and i'm in Toronto.
