It depends on where you live as to how many openings there are. I would talk to your employer as to whether they have a budget for training teachers. Many schools do. After I worked as an assistant for one year, the school offered to pay for my training in full and I didn't even ask. They approached me. As an adminstrator I would much rather take a proven worker and have him or her trained for being a lead then hire some unknown who came in and applied. There are so many different training centers that although a teacher is supposedly trained, it doesn't mean that the teacher interprets the Montessori philosophy the same as we do at our school.
