Post: Help me fix my voice!
I have been having minor trouble with my voice foe a year
or so, saw an ENT and had a scope. He said he saw a very
small node, but he wasn't sure (I had trouble with the test)
Just this past September, I had the cold that was going
around and I have since lost my singing and projection
voice. I am not a singer, never did any training, but
here's what is happening. It HURTS to project my voice and
I am so tired at the end of the teaching day. When I sing,
I cannot shift easily to head voice and my head voice has
no volume at all. I sound raspy all the time. It is
impossible for me to model songs that I am introducing for
our Christmas Concert. I am using a microphone all the
time, but I still cannot seem to communicate the way I want
to be able to.
I have tried: resting my voice completely for a few days
, Hot tea with honey,
lots of water, ginger/honey/cinnamon in hot water.
What can I do? Taking a couple of weeks off is really not
an option right now; my program is on Dec 7th.
Please help!
