I have a resource book called "French and Canadian Folk songs and
Games". There are some great short songs in that collection, and
games that can be played with those songs. I even think there is
a CD that comes with the book.
I can't remember where I ordered it, but I bet you can find
something like that at West Music -- and even if you bought it
with your own money, it would be a great resource to have and pull
from later.
About Brazil, again, you might look on the WEst Music website and
see if there are any collections for Brazilian folk songs or
Brazilian drumming. I went to AOSA this past year in Pittsburgh,
and went to Mary Helen Solomon's session on Brazilian drumming --
so fun! You might be able to find other options for that in the
book "World Drumming" by Will Schmidt.
Good luck!! I'm planning to incorporate some Brazilian drumming
into my lessons this coming spring. Maybe as part of the Lent
season, that's usually when they have the Carnival.
