I only have Pre-K through 2nd, but if the 3rd and 4th MM
lessons are like the ones in the younger grades, they just
stink. I love MM for the good songs and recordings, and
occasionally use the visuals and movement ideas, but I never
use the lessons provided to go with the songs. (From what I've
seen, this isn't a problem specific to MM or Silver Burdett.
For whatever reason, the larger publishers don't seem to
publish good PLANS, just good resources.) I strongly
recommend - as do lots of posters here - the Gameplan
curriculum. It's active and engaging and very easy to modify
as needed. And don't give up on the drums! I like some of Dave
Holland's stuff. Also, make Artie Almeida your new best
friend! Her resources are fantastic.
