Posted by kitmusic/OK on 5/15/08 okay -- first, I have only two days left -- and no classes tomorrow! We are all out at "Super kids Day" -- I'm helping with tug-of-war -- with the art teacher -- he is great! So, we should have a great time. But the biggest news came tonight-- I checked my mail -- and I received the acceptance letter for the Scholarship for national Board Certification! Oklahoma has a scholarship available that pays for everything except the original application processing fee -- but to get it, you have to write a 5 page essay about yourself and it is really scrutinized! A bunch of teachers in my building all applied for the scholarship -- and so far, four of us have received it! I'm hoping that the other three will get their letters too -- it would be fun to do this as a building! Anyway, I was really excited! I'm terrified of the process too -- but I'm pretty sure I can do it -- I just hope I pass!!
