Post: Becoming a PE teacher - ever too late?
Posted by Joey on 12/28/07
Hello,
Just looking for advice. I've been wanting to return to
college to become a PE teacher for many years now. I'm from
an IT background, but I've been trying to build up the
courage to return and start from scratch to pursue what I
believe is my dream job. I'm 30. Just wondering would there
be any prejudice in the work place/difficulty in finding a
job as I would be 35 yrs when I qualify? Does anybody have
experience of returning to study PE as a mature student? Any
advice would be of great help. I'm thinking to apply to
Limerick, Cork, DCU and maybe some UK (prefer Ireland base).
Again, any tips/advice much appreciated.
Thanks.
