I have some athletes that have the same issue in water
polo. The majority of my guys are tough as nails, but I do
have some guys that are trying to say that they are hurt. I
ask them if they can move the part that is injured, and they
tell me they can. This is when I give them a little quiz.
I ask them if they are injured or hurt. They usually tell
me they are just hurt. That is when I let them know that if
it hurts then you need to work through the pain. Hurt is a
pain your body is telling you that you are working hard. An
injury occurence is when you need to stop.
