Wow, that is a lot of kids to be in charge of! Can you ask
for help--it would seem to be a safety issue to be in charge
of so many in dangerous work areas.
How about girls in the Weight room on T/Th, boys on M/W. Then
on the opposite days, provided you had another coach or two
helping, do circuit training with plyometric boxes, core
exercise, flexibility exercises, footwork, jump ropes, etc.
On Fridays you could do a distance jog and sprints or turn it
into a "fun" day and run sports like flag football, team
handball, soccer, softball, etc.
At one of my schools in TX, we had many coaches working during
off season and the boys coaches worked exclusively with boys
and girls coaches worked only with the girls. Where I am now,
the Ath. Dir. wants each head coach in off season with their
athletes even if it means they only have one or two that
aren't currently in a sport.
Anyone else have ideas? This is a real challenge for you--good
luck.
