I just wanted to post a comment on the success of student
and teacher grading rubrics that I have used in my class.
Throughout a lesson I give the students simple yet
effective assessment rubrics that they conduct on
themselves as well as their peers. I always do a pre,
progress monitoring, and a post assessment on all lessons.
I compare what the students give themselves to what I gave
them. They usually come out pretty even and the students
get to see how they are graded. This has caused my
students to stay on task throughout a lesson and my grades
have gone up. Thanks, have a good day!!
