I was listening to economist Richard Wolff, and he explains that Obamacare did what the insurance companies wanted. It got the insurance companies more customers without cutting costs. The insurance companies have NO interest in repealing Obamacare.

So why are the Republicans so interested in repeal? The answer is simple. Obamacare was done by way of a tax on the rich.

More specifically, a 0.9&37; Medicare tax on earned income over $200,000 per individual or $250,000 per family. Plus a 3.8&37; investment tax on income from wealth with the same income ranges.

Repealing Obamacare is the Republicans doing what they always do - giving the rich tax cuts. It turns out that millionaires will get 80&37; of the tax cut from not having Obamacare. As an example, people with an income over 3.8 million get a $195,000 reduction in taxes - for each individual.

I've found it's best to ignore trolls. They generally exhibit the same attention seeking behavior our new president does.

Speaking of trolls. Bob, will you ever require registration for access to this forum and others on Tnet?
