In Minnesota (big city) I have taught in Catholic schools 13
years and have a Master's. This year I will have a
significant raise that will jump me up just past 40K. We
pay half of insurance premium. I support myself and have no
children, so it's doable. I started at 18K 13 years ago.
No wonder nuns used to staff the Cath. schools! I would not
teach in public schools however.
