    You can also find similar information on many of the other
    denominational websites. Especially those that have a large
    number of schools. Some of the national associations of
    Christian schools have information also.

    The amount varies widely across the US and depends on the
    setting (urban, suburban, and rural). In addition, it depends
    on the demand for public school teachers. In some areas there
    is a surplus of public school teachers. Therefore, the private
    and parochial schools pay less because of the avialabitily of
    good teachers.

    One caution. Schools that are struggling with budget or
    enrollment challenges often pay less than the typical. A low
    offer may suggest that you want to ask some more questions
    before accepting the job. That is not to suggest that you
    should turn down the job. It does suggest that you want to go
    into the job with your eyes wide open.

    Sometimes a struggling environment can be a source of stress.
    Sometimes a struggling environment can be a source of great
    fulfillment. This is especially true if you are part of the
    process of turning it around.

    I hope you find teaching in a faith enviornment a joyful
    experience.
