Interesting question. Around here the public schools try to
pay no attention to the private schools. It's like driving by
a beautiful country club and you wonder what it's like inside
and then drive on. Most public school teachers around here
went to public school - the private schools are a mystery to
them.
And yes I'd say around here too they're a bit threatened by
the private schools not really but they feel somehow
inferior. We have some lovely private schools with rolling
acres of campus.
