Re: hmmmm, never heard of this reason to be in college!

    I've heard of it, sure. Some students go to college to defer
    their college loans. Some go to college to get extra financial
    aid over and above tuition, then use the money for living
    expenses (they go to class only enough to keep from getting
    kicked out).

    I've had students ask me to "give them a break" and that the
    course is "too hard." I just tell them sorry, you read the
    syllabus and could have dropped the course the first day if
    you didn't think you could do the work.
