LK, thanks SO much! I've been dying to hear if kids like Sign of
the Beaver (because I'm loving it). I added your recommendations
to RD's.
Hatchet: I LOVELOVELOVE this book and forgot it on my list--I
reread it this summer. My friend who is moving gave me a class
set of Hatchet and I thought that's what I would do, but one of
the 4th grade teachers had a book group with it. What I'm
finding though is about a zillion t-t connections between Sign of
the Beaver and Hatchet, so that is marvelous!
