I picked up this book a few months ago and have it on my nightstand. I read
about half before getting sidelined by something else. I need to finish it!

The gist of it is the teacher (Donalyn...?)insists that her sixth graders
READ like their hair is on fire. In fact, they have to read at least 40
books for the school year.

For some strange reason, the kids get better at reading and they actually
enjoy it - with a few minor exceptions.
