Wow! You guys are starting the great summer discussions,
and I've been missing it. I did not finish school until
June 22, so I feel like summer is just beginning for me, and
it's probably half over for many of you. I have a million
and one things I need to do around the house and I have been
trying to tackle some of them. We are planning a
desperately needed kitchen remodel, which also makes one
consider the dining room, and den, and of course the half
bath, and......I think I have been watching too much HGTV.
I always thought that except in the case of corn, having
things pop was not necessarily a good thing. But, apparently
one needs to have things and colors and decor in each room
of the house that "pop". I don't have anything that pops
anywhere in my house. So, I need to spend some time buying
"pop" this summer.

I have also spent a considerable amount of time in the last
two weeks on a Persian cat rescue endeavor. Long story
short...scumbag neighbor leaves de-clawed Persian outside
and moves away several months ago, nice neighbor cavey
discovers this fact from another neighbor, finds cat living
under scumbag's deck, coaxes out kitty, brings it inside,
takes to vet and posts ads to find new home. In
appreciation, Persian pees on cavey's bed. Mr. Cavey none
too happy. Fortunately, the petfinder ads work just in time
for kitty-pee-pee, and he is going to a new home on Monday.
Mike was not happy about another cat in his house, but he
has been tolerant.

So, I have enjoyed reading all the discussions and will be
jumping back in. We are at the lake this weekend, so I have
some time to get caught up.

I've missed you guys! It's great to see MichiKim and
Margaret back. And welcome to the newbies.

PS I have also been playing Mario Cart with my daughter
every day. I know that by the end of the summer I may
actually come in 5th or 6th place in a race!
