One of my goals this summer was to compile a list together of great Interactive read aloud books (appropriate for 2nd grade), along with a **SKILL** to teach with the book. I've posted many requests, but haven't had a lot of feedback, YET. Still searching though...Maybe we can put our heads together and help eachother with this list! I recently viewed a book online by Linda Hoyt called Interactive Read Alouds and it is wonderful! (I'm attaching the link for you to view). I plan to buy the book soon and start from there. There is a K-1 book which would be great for you and a 2-3 book! Check it out!! I also recently bought a book from Scholastic that is called Using Read Alouds in 2nd Grade and it lists several picture books, ALONG WITH A SKILL TO BE TAUGHT WITH EACH BOOK. I've started my list, but I want to continue working on it. When I'm done, I'd be more than happy to share with you! One book that comes to mind for K is Eric Carle's The Hungry Caterpillar for sequencing! I'm sure you already thought of that though! Good luck and please be in touch!
